The WINTARIO MILLIONS game is a new version of the original game. WINTARIO was Ontario's first province-wide lottery game, launched in May 1975. The original game had a top prize of $100,000 with draws held every second Thursday during a live TV show that traveled to various communities across the province. The game was retired in the fall of 1996 after generating more than $2.4 billion in sales and more than $1.1 billion in prizes.
